Hello,

My family and I are considering moving to Eastchester. We have been looking at a few towns in lower Westchester and Eastchester seems to have mostly everything we're looking for. One of the drawbacks for me, is that we are not on the waterfront. I was wondering if we move to Eastchester what waterfront beaches or parks we are able to access as non-residents. Growing up I lived in a town with a few beaches and I love being near the water.

Thank you.

Virtually none. That's one of the reasons people move to the sound shore towns. You're pretty much stuck with the Rye Playland beach, CT state parks or LI beaches. Lots of people in the landlocked towns join private country clubs or shore clubs foI this reason. Back in the day Shenorock shore Club in Rye was mostly families from Pelham and Bronxville. It may be different now, but I doubt it. If you go that route do remember to bring your checkbook.

Harbor island park in mamaroneck. Rye play land also has a beach. I live in Eastchester and it's very nice.
