I live in a 4 BR single family home in white plains, and would be traveling to different country for a period of 4 months for work. I wanted to see if I could rent out the place to 3 or 4 of my friends (each friend takes a room) during that time? I have not been able to clearly figure out the maximum occupancy laws and zoning ordinance in White Plains, so wondering if anyone has any insight on this. I dont want the neighbors to complain to city in my absence and the situation being a big mess. I really want to understand what can I legally do so be compliant with city laws.
