I've been posting a lot about different areas and we are finally actually in the process of moving. We need a home that has a first floor bedroom/bath as we have a child in a wheelchair and some space for handicap modifications. We've seen a few homes in the Greenburgh school district and in Ossining but have not heard great things. Just curious what people's thoughts are? We will only be using special education services so it really doesn't matter to us whether kids attend IVY leagues from there or not it's really about the special education services which I'm looking into. The main concern is that if in general the schools are not good, is this a bad investment in terms of resale?
As far as Ossining, the schools themselves are excellent, especially for the STEAM set. It's the non-native speakers dragging down test scores, which don't necessarily speak to the school quality. Most parents I know in the Ossining school district love it, and there's a lot of parent-teacher involvement. I have no qualms about sending my daughter to Ossining schools when the time comes.
