That is great news. I was surprised and pleased to read that furniture was actually still made in N.C. and not just the upholstery side. I hope this helps out the folks in this area with much needed health care as well. Thanks Sunny for sharing.

This is good news. Too bad its only a very small percentage of people who have lost their jobs in this area over the past few years.

Hopefully it leads to more jobs though.

Anyone going back to work is good news, but it must be viewed in context.

Feb 2009 Around 70 to 80 employees were laid off last week at the Ethan Allen plant in Old Fort. However, a spokeswoman for Ethan Allen said the furniture company intends to maintain a "strong manufacturing presence" in Old Fort and the rest of the United States.

Net gain for the area, maybe a dozen.
