Hello to All-
We are moving to Beech Mountain next week and wondered who offered the best package deals for high-speed internet and cable/dish. Any advice will be appreciated greatly! Also, cell phone service?????
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Lucky you, Beech Mountain is fantastic (well, in the Summer for me)

From beechmtn.com (http://www.beechmtn.com/media/fast-facts/ - broken link):

Utilities:

Beech Mountain Utilities provides and maintains water and sewer service. Skyline Telephone Membership Corporation, (828) 898-1350 or (800) 759-2226, provides telephone service and is one source for Internet access service. Electricity is provided by Mountain Electric Cooperatives, Inc., (828) 733-0159. Natural gas is not available, but there are several propane dealers who service Beech Mountain. Digital Cable TV service is provided by Charter Communications, 1-800-972-5757 or 1-800-955-7766.

Verizon Wireless looks to have adequate coverage in NW NC.

I have the Charter Bundle and though I groan a bit about the bill these days, they have great intro rates for a year. I'm paying $150 plus tx & equip lease for phone(unlimited LD), extended cable (no movie channels), and high speed internet, which really IS high speed! I'm very happy with them now except the cost that keeps going up!

I had some trouble a couple of years ago, but smooth sailing since. Their customer service has actually improved!! I had to call tonight because I lost my security key for my network and the out sourced gal in the Philippines was courteous, helpful and I could even understand her! and I got my key too!
