Hello,

We have lots of leftover wood, pallets, cabinet boxes and supplies. I am trying to find a way to get rid of this stuff without paying to have it hauled away. I tried a "Freebie" ad on Craigslist and got lots of strange folks coming by, so I discontinued that ad. Friends don't want/need it. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of resources that I had not considered...

Thanks so much

Pallets are tough to get rid of. Could you describe the wood and supplies?

Mostly lumber, both pressure treated and none. However it has been sitting outside for months and is pretty much only suitable for outside projects, greenhouse, etc. The wood is weathered at this point. There is also some brown soffits that have also been lying outside for months. Some of the wood has been used for whatever so it has nails sticking out of it...

Habitat for Humanity near biltmore takes construction stuff. Check with them. I think they might do haul away if there is enough useable stuff for them.

You could also see if there is a FreeCycle group in your area. Google it for details.

There is an Asheville Freecycle. It is very active and you will get responses. Habitat is also a good choice. Please don't burn it!!!!

Well I meant if you needed it gone and no-one wanted it...wood is a renewable resource so it doesn't really matter.
