I did a search of the forum, but all the threads were very out of date. I am here in Morganton and though I got a good job, I would like some more income to get ahead faster financially. I am 52, and just got a very nice, professional car. I was thinking of doing Uber or Lyft for 1 day a week. OI see they are in Hickory now and was thinking that I could fill a niche where I could do Charlotte/Douglas airport runs to/from Hickory/Lincolnton and Morganton. Anyone out there have any info on the current state of Uber/Lyft in the area.
OP: Your car insurance company needs to be notified, and the underwriter may not accept your driving for hire on your current policy. An additional rider to your policy may be pricey and not worth the trouble. YMMV...
