On my last day of vacation in Boone, NC. Just spent a week visiting Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Linville and many other little towns around. I must say I am impressed with the High Country. The people were pleasant. The towns were all clean, beautiful and charming. They all are quaint. I feel in love with the high country. I am from New York City, Manhattan and this kind of life style up in the mountains is just down right charming. I am moving here. Any city up here is fine. Need to find a job first. The air is clean and crisp. The weather is amazing. I can breathe clean air up here. My kids love it too. Grandfather mountain views were simply gorgeous. Thanks high country for being here and being beautiful. I loved my vacation. I will be back to live soon....

The devil is in the details --- finding that Manhattan type job in the High country will be a challenge, to say the least. Good Luck ! I just had a beautiful afternoon of tennis in Ashe County.

The High Country is gorgeous! I live down west of Asheville, but one day I want to move up to Ashe County. I am glad you had a great vacation!

I live on a farm by Linville falls...I grew up in NYC but spent my adult years in So Florida. Living here is extraordinary...I couldn't be happier...I love it here. I bought my 1886 farm in 2005. Good luck. It's awesome!!!!

And it's 27 and spitting snow right now in Avery County.

Yep, the challenge will likely be finding a job with a living wage, if that's needed.
