i am looking to relocate to either the asheville or boone area from atlanta in the next 6 to 12 months. i am a truck driver wanting to be home every night, looking to find out what companies have terminals up their, right now im w/ fed ex im home every day and i want to keep it that way. looking for companies like fed ex, us foods, sysco, aaa cooper, olde dominion, south eastern, yellow, wilson, really any ltl trucking companies or food service trucking companies that have terminals up there as most of these types of trucking companies have you home everyday.

also if there is any truck drivers who read this post and you are a local driver in wnc let me know what your salary range is per year, because its not worth for me to move there if i cant make 50 to 60k a yr as a local driver

Most of Boone's supplies are brought in from elsewhere (Hickory, Charlotte), so I don't think you'll have much luck there. FedEx has a fairly large (I guess large) facility on Airport Rd/N.C. 280 south of Asheville. The Ingle's grocery store chain also delivers out of Asheville or Black Mountain and none of their stores are more than a couple of hundred miles away from Asheville. Those are the main two that come to mind at the moment.

There is a Fed Ex contractor just east of Hickory and MDI on the north side of Hickory is the food distributor whose trucks are seen everywhere in western NC.
