I am needing to meet someone tomorrow in Wichita. I am coming from Oklahoma and the other person is coming in from Iowa. It looks like we'll both be coming in on the Kansas Turnpike, but obvoiusly from opposite directions. Is there a good meeting place in the Wichita area on the turnpike for us to meet? If so, please give me the exit number. Thx!

All of the rest areas on the turnpike are in the middle median, so both directions have access. You could pick whichever one works.

From KTA website:

"Six service areas located strategically along the Turnpike provide opportunities for fuel, food, ATMs, weather information, and other necessary items and services. These service areas are located at mileposts 26, 65, 97, 132, 188, and 209."

Closest to Wichita would be MP 26 (south of Wichita) or MP 65 (north of Wichita). If you want to get off the turnpike, I'd suggest Kellogg Ave. in Wichita (exit 50) - there are tons of motels, fast food joints, etc. right there.

If you do want to exit, there are 4 exits in the Wichita area that are near retail areas. These exits are 42, 45, 50, and 53. Exit 57 is outside Andover.
