I have a person living in my home (I live there as well so I'm having a hard time looking up laws for my situation) that I want out. He has lived with me for 5 months. In August, he only paid me half of stipulated rental amount and things kept going downhill from there. Most recently we got into an argument over my security cameras. I don't live in the best neighborhood so I have 3 cameras (1 pointing at my back door, 1 pointing at my front door, and 1 in the living room pointing at the windows.) and he recently started unplugging them and claims they are an invasion of his privacy. I said that I was not comfortable with that, I pay for them monthly and it is my house to which he responded that this was just as much his place as it was mine and that he would continue unplugging them as he sees fit. I don't feel safe or comfortable with this at all. Do I have to give him the full 28 day notice to vacate or can I do a 14 day notice?

Do you know if there is one for Rock County? Or something similar? I just went to their website and it says due to staffing issues they cannot answer questions for anyone outside of Dane County.

I actually had looked through and read one of those links earlier. I'm just seeing the same information over and over and I am not sure if they apply to my situation or if that is more geared toward rental properties. Mine isn't a rental property. I had to have someone move in with me to help out with bills after my boyfriend moved out in March.

My father had similar situation. He had to go through the whole eviction process. Filing with the court of law, attending the hearing, having the Sherrif's dept evict, etc......

Best to go the proper route instead of not doing it and having it bite you in the arse.
