Frankly I don't see that she's being pissy at all. I think the OP is overreacting.

Quote:
her: I did it this morning actually and I mainly talked about (customer group B)
her: Does Neil always include you in his weekly report?
her: and Bob?
her: maybe we should set some guideline about submitting weekly report, when we have a team meeting next time?
me: there is no guideline, it's just something I'm used to.
her: I didn't include you today because it was mostly a report about (her customer group)
#1. She is asking you if the other two men submit reports to you.
#2. You answer her that there IS NO GUIDELINE for sending you a report and that it's just "something you're used to".
#3. She states that it would be a good idea to discuss it at the NEXT TEAM MEETING.

I think you as a male have a problem that she's not submitting to you.

The other men aren't submitting to you so why should she?

Create a guideline for sending the reports and then there's no problem. You'll get reports from EVERYBODY.

End of story.

Good strategy. Women hate the silent treatment. Even if she says good bye to me as she walks by my desk, I'll pretend I didn't hear her, but be polite to everyone else.
You are paranoid.

You are manipulative.

That's creating a HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT.

Really not smart to do.

'What on earth does this have to do with carbon copy?'
Both have gained popularity as a result of poor education.

If you entered the workforce in the 1990's or after it may mean courtesy copy to you, but the original definition is CARBON COPY because typewriters used to use carbon paper to make exact copies of typed documents.

o.k.

What do you think BCC means?

Ding, ding, ding, ding! Standard operating procedure for the OP. It's evident in his history of posts, from wanting to control how his female neighbor upstairs walks around her own apartment to wanting to get close to his female boss so that he can use her friendship to manipulate her.

Definite misogynistic, control-freak tendencies. He usually only tries to report females who disagree with him to the mods, too. Whack-a-doodle-doo!

Because she always has and I send her mine. No need to change that.

The other guys don't have the courtesy and team skills I do. I already brought it up to the supervisor before and she said it's optional. Doing so helps your team mates understand what's going on in your customer group and the company in general. Having everyone's perspective, including reading their suggestions helps bond our team. It's not supposed to be every man/woman for themselves. In fact my bosses approve of the fact I send everyone my reports, so it's definitely not frowned upon.
A former team member shared his reports every week, just like I've been doing was applauded for doing so and got promoted. I'm filling his shoes now. If Pissy Mary doesn't want to be a team player, that's on her. But to get all huffy about whether or not Neil and Bob send me theirs in an obvious rant (in instant messenger, you're supposed to wait your turn), is out of line.

The ones who get reported are the ones who break the terms of service. IF you don't want to get reported, just behave yourself.

Add an insufferably inflated egotism to that too - see first sentence of quote below!

So you're not looking for another job yet?

So what did they call a "carbon" copy prior to 1880? A ppc? Or do you think during millennia of government and commerce, no need for multiple copies existed?

Please don't.

Totally incorrect.

Please don't.
Why don't you simply do as suggested and Google the definition of cc in order to learn something? No definition of "cc" includes "courtesy copy". And what is the reference to 1880 all about? And what do you mean by "please don't" when asked what you think bcc means? And you might want to Google "ain't" and learn IT'S history.

It seems you have ample time on your hands to put down those who know a little more than you do but why not use that time to do your own little bit of research - a small effort which takes just a couple of minutes and much more productive than spouting off on a simple matter of definition about which you're misinformed.
