Looking for a graduate certificate program that best fits my career goals. (credit, profit)

I'm currently a nonprofit professional, I have a non-management position in grants and fund-raising. I love my industry but I try to keep an open mind when it comes to my future, I want to be open to any opportunity. A local university (a highly regarded institution) has several evening/part-time graduate certificate programs. I'm thinking about doing one of these 15 credit certs, I miss being in the classroom.


The main reason I'm doing this is because I love college and always want to learn, even if this cert doesn't lead to any promotions, I'm fine with that. At the same time, however, I want to pick the right program to help me with my career goals.


I'm currently working in nonprofit and would like to grow in that, but I'm also interested in working at a hospital, school or the government I'm also open to the private sector under the right conditions.


I'm torn between two programs, the nonprofit management certificate or a project management certificate. Both have great classes and great instructors. Which one would be better for my broad/open minded career goals? I'm leaning towards project management, I feel this may be more appealing to employers.

I would do the project management and get PMP certification....I think it's more versatile.

If you like school, why don't you just go for it and get an MPA (or something).

I can't commit to the time and financial obligations of a MPA at the moment.
