BUT i am still GRATEFUL to have a job, or the money FROM a job. It would be dishonest to pretend to like something that you severely hate and unhealthy to NOT vent this.

I am sure if i had no job i would be so utterly glad to have this job i wouldn't be complaining for the first few months or year or so... but since i hate the type of job i have CALL CENTER with a passion, i couldn't NOT complain FOREVER.

you know what i mean?
I understand where you're coming from and I appreciate you being polite about your point.

You guys are just making assumptions. lol Keep making stuff up...
How do you respond? Do you remind them that at least they have a job? Do you gently hint that maybe you aren't the best person to talk to about this?

I know what you mean OP. I have been out work for 2 years now. I did have a few Temp positions, but they all ended too early. This recession is killing me mentally and financially. People should be happy to have a job, but I def understand them complaining cuz who wants to slave forreal? lol but I feel you OP keep your head up. I pray you find a job real soon.

I hate when people say "slave labor." Slaves didn't get paid PERIOD and had to go through WORSE.

Everyone shouldn't be expected to kowtow to your situation.

How are people "working to death"?

Some of you guys are exaggerating. I think some of you completely ignored everything I've written thus far and just looked at the title and made your assumptions.

Oh no...I read every word that you typed.

Every single whiny self-centered word.

OP, I still don't understand why you are friends with people you hate. If you just choose not to be friends with them (since you already hate them), you won't have to deal with any of this.

For instance, at my last "Real" job, there was a period where I was working my azz off because a few co-workers wouldn't come to work. They promised me a raise and never gave it to me. They pretty much F-d me. I felt like I was working to death, my skin broke out really bad, I was always tired and overwhelmed. I was stressed out completely from that job and I still felt like I deserved to paid more for all of the hard work I was putting in.

I think this is how some people feel, who do have jobs.
