Those making $100,000 have usually been offered more and more to be stolen away from their current family because they are really good. Many a friendship has been ruined in affluent areas by hiring away a friend's nanny, but to those that do it it's worth it.

I highly doubt there is anyone earning ...........$200,000.......and has a nanny for .....$100,000

I think these 100K nannies are extremelly rare. I also bet they are expected to be more like tudors then nannies.

I keep thinking of the book the Nanny Diaries (Which was based on the Authors experiances as a Nanny for the high class of NYC). Also I lived in Fairfax county and I remember seeing the Nannies with the kids at the park. Most of the time the Nannies were foreign and Fairfax County is one of the USAs richest. I'm sure those Nannies were not making anything.

Yup, rich folks didn't get that way by paying outrageous wages when many competant are available for much lower wage.

Good for them. They have the right to spend their money however they want to-I totally support that.

If you only work 8 hours your not in a war.

In the miltary you are ruled and confined 24/7 ... 365 not being able
to do your own thing until your time to get out.

If you don't believe that try it and get caught and see what hapens.

The NAS I was at, most sailors lived off base and were only on the job 8 hours.

Yes, soldiers in a war zone had it different.

I worked on a yacht as a stewardess, which is basically a housekeeper, food server, bartender, flower arranger, etc and I made $60k per year which included a 4 week paid vacation. When the owners were onboard I was working 24/7. When they were gone it was a 40 hour a week job. I was the lowest paid person on this particular yacht with a crew of 6 people. It was owned by one family who had 3 children. I'm pretty sure their nanny made more than I did.
It's hard to fathom extreme wealth. At least it is to me. 100K is not unreasonable for people with extreme wealth to pay for well qualified and competent employees.

Just because people might have large wealth
does not make their employees worth more money.

IF the person was worth a million dollars, and paid that person $100,000
a year, and then sudenlly they were worth $10 million dollars does not make
the employee worth any more money ! ! !
