I'm a woman and I have to say that the difference between the "mean" girls and the "mean" men is that with men, I've always known who was my enemy. I don't need everyone to like me and it doesn't surprise me to get thrown under the bus, but, and this is just my experience over the years, the men are at least up front about it. The women, on the other hand, can be completely nice and sweet to my face and rip me a new one behind my back. I've just not faced that kind of relational sabotage when working with men. Sexual harassment, obnoxiousness, rudeness, sexism, yes--but at least I knew what I was up against.
I agree with this ---- hence the reason why most of my "friends" are men.
