Sounds like a profession bubble to me. Just like education and the US Dollar.
Sorry but that is why companies spend so much on IT infrastructure...to get rid of as many routine jobs as possible. Employees = cost center. An ideal company, even a multi billion dollar corporation would have only a few employees and pretty much everything would be automated.

None, on the plus side because of the technological advancements we can afford to feed people for free, at least in this country.
