And all that is information that has nothing to do with the job someone is applying for with the company. Anyone who answers a question about a gap has no confidence in their abilities
Oh give me a break. That is relevant, and you answered it in your interviews. We all know this, despite what you claim on here...
Bur they not buying just hiring which is a big difference.
A hiring decision costs them money, just as a purchase does. The product they are purchasing is an employee, whose time is theirs 40 hours per week, for as long as both wish.
Ummm no. If your age 18-65 you should be a working individual. You can't expect to just do crap nothing for 2 years and the employer just not to care! If you had cancer or something...fine say that. An employer is going to see a 2 year gap and think "wtf, why wasn't he working....now he is getting mad because I asked". Good bye.

How does it not! If I was in prison from stealing from an employer like the other poster suggested they will want to know. Lie if you want...but you can't just say "none of your business" and move on.

What was the gap for though? If they were on unemployment.....fine. If they were just "moving to a new city" and take their grand ole time....not fine.
