yea, but I would try and leave as soon as you finish with college. That sort of income is not going to be enough when you are in your late 20's.

this depends completely on where you live (and on your lifestyle, but you can change that if you need to).

i think for your area that is a very respectable wage for a student.

I am sure there are plenty of people in Jackson making a whole lot less than that. Absent any other data, that is great money for a college student.

During my first internship while I was in college I was making around that much. A little tough in the NY Metro area, but luckily I had family to live with. Think of it as a baseline which can set up for growth in the future.

On its face, there doesn't seem anything odd about a college student in Jackson, MS making $11.33 an hour. Although I suppose it depends on what work you are doing. If you are working in a job that is typically minimum wage, then your rate is pretty good (156%).

So, assuming that the wage is fair for the work being done (which I also assume is part time), the main question is whether or not your income covers your expenses. If it does, then good. If not, then you either need a better paying job or need to cut back on some expenses.
