i promised i'd make this thread in a thread someone made a while back about there not being enough positivity on the board, so here it is!
i've been job searching long distance for 8 months, hundreds of applications, over 30 interviews, and one offer that i turned down. i was all braced for yet another rejection, but nope!! i finally did it.
i'm sure i'll keep posting here but thanks to all you guys for the advice, moral support, and at the very least, entertainment over the last few months of job searching hell!
for statistical purposes:
1. it's a small nonprofit
2. i applied through an online application that was pretty unfussy
3. i had 1 phone interview, 2 in person interviews, and a short take-home work assignment
4. no one ever gave me their business card
5. i applied in early may, the interview process started in early june
Does the job involve washing dishes?
Did you clandestinely photograph any documents?
Are you anticipating an offer from Job A?
Will you be shocked if they monitor your Internet use?
