I am curious do people give any compliments to the CSR's on recorded calls when they realize they are North American based?

I did without thinking starting a few years back then I realized I am now very vocal that I like CSR's based in US/Canada not Mumbai/Philipines.

I believe it's little things like this that can slowly bring jobs back, demanding support people we can understand and are qualified, and giving praise when it's due.

I usually will ask to speak to their manager when I get good service for the same reason. I have also been a CSR for quite some time now and I know that most of the time people will only say something when it's negative.
I hope that little by little these jobs may return to us.

I refused an offshore agent when they asked for my SS#. US laws don't protect me there in case of identity theft. Everyone else should consider how safe they are giving so much information to people in foreign jurisdictions.

Jobs are returning slowly as wages in those countries come up and it's no longer as advantageous.

I can't say that I've noticed very much difference in customer service representation by country of the rep, assuming I'm guessing right about the country.

Hmm, VZ and Consumer Reports CSR's are really nice and polite.
