Fox News host Eric Bolling and most of his colleagues on The Five dismissed seemingly the whole idea of a balance between life and work on Tuesday, with Bolling suggesting that the U.S. look to China, and not Europe, for inspiration.
“Some of the economies that are starting to kick our butt, those people work hard,” Bolling said. “There aren’t labor laws, there aren’t minimum wages, they’re working harder than we are.”
He's an idiot, as are most of the crew in his circle.
Of course, they want us to be like China - polluted, over-crowded, and full of slave labor. There's nothing those corporate "conservatives" want more than to be able to chain up workers in factories or house them in caged-in apartments above the workplace, as is done with Foxconn slaves. They don't want us to be more like Europe since big business isn't all-powerful over there, and the quality of life is higher. This is all about the real warfare in this nation - the elite (regardless of political party) vs. the working class - and any idiot who thinks we should "be more like China" should keep his or her mouth shut. Maybe when one of those corporate stooges agrees to breath nothing but air with the same pollution levels as found in Chinese cities for a year and drink nothing but water contaminated to the same level... and live in a caged-in apartment complex as a slave and be paid the same Chinese wages, I'll take him seriously, but not until then.
Oh, the final irony - Americans are the most productive work force in the world already:

Balance? Exactly what is this "balance" that you speak of?
Here in America you can have any balance you wish you can even decide to have full not having to have a job if you wish, this is America and being a free country if you don't want to work you don't have to, and lay around all day.
Nothing to stop you from setting up a camp tent deep in a National Forest and never have to work again. You can live on fresh berries and other wild fruits.
But because you don't have everything you want, like a comfortable bed, don't come whining to me about how life isn't fair and as how I should gibs you some of my stuff because I work 80 hours a week to buy it and that somehow isn't fair.
As far as balance you pick your own and then you live with it.
