Writing or editing. I make a comfortable living as a copy editor, but the jobs are harder and harder to find. It's very solitary work, because you're reading all day. Starting pay typically isn't great, but it gets better if you stick with it. If you freelance, your earning power is limited only by how much time you have to put into your work.
See if you can find a work-from-home career. That might be the best option for you.
IT, Finance, Engineering.
Don't go for health care professions because you have to communicate with a whole team of people frequently. I'm an introvert in an allied health profession, and I "fake it till I make it".. it's draining, but I go home and recharge. Can't imagine doing anything else because it's a rewarding field.
Nope. Besides the long, odd hours, you will have to interact with patients all of the time. Not to mention you must have a strong stomach for all of the illnesses these folks will have.
I definitely wouldn't do well at Nursing and I have no interest in it. I have family members who were Nurses so I know from them that Nursing requires alot of patient and people interaction- I would be awful at that. Way to draining.
Maybe work in IT. Do you have technical abilities?
I'm somewhat good at figuring things out on computers if that's what you mean.
I just don't know if IT might be boring?
