Let's think about who was employed for the production and release of the iPhone 6. I'm guessing 500 combined designers, marketing experts and engineers; 1,000,000 Chinese in manufacturing plants in their nation; a couple thousand Apple Store workers to pimp the product to customers, making $13/hr or so. And some people still believe that technology is going to be a massive employer of good jobs for Americans. Lots of revenue, but it's not being dispersed in a way that creates a strong middle class. I'm guessing the production of the iPhone 7 will require fewer engineers, as the engineering process becomes more efficient.

Are you seriously suggesting that there are one million people building the iphone.
Well technology allows for more to be done at a lower cost which benefits those that are the poorest the most.
A million in china making it? Hardly. Factories employ people in the same fashion granted not all of them are 100% like countersparts in western countries but still. These are not directly 100% hand made.
The idea of huge massive factories is shrinking by the day and factories are largely using automation.
Apple is a poor example of tech job creation. They do actually have a supply chain and build a physical product. And run retail stores.
A much better example of tech job creation is a company like What's App. Facebook acquired them for like $20B and they had like 50 employees. They didnt have customer support. Tgey were basically pre-sales and marketing. And they were able to exit at a huge valuation. There are way more What's Apps that generate millions of dollars in revenue or valuation per employee. This has no multiplier on job creation
Apple is the AMC of the tech industry. Their software is mostly open source that they rehash, the hardware is someone elses (samsung!)(and design is someone elses (frog design)
