$25 gift card to Amazon and a nice dinner ($50ish) out last week. We get annual bonuses, but they are no way related to Christmas.

Low-paying jobs. I know it may be surprising but the majority of us don't get any luscious bonus.

$xxx.00 plus leaving hour early today and Friday. Also got day after Thanksgiving off. 1/2 the staff got that and the other half got the 26th off. Very small company.

A gift is a gift and shows that we were thought about and cared about.

cd :O)

No bonus, but I got a raise!

That's the good news, the bad news is they don't think they can fund the raise until sometime in 2016.

I guess it's the thought that counts! LOL

That happens a lot with local governments, a raise is given but "suspended". Prince George's County Public Schools have done that to us 15 or 18 times over the last 31 years. We did get a 1/2% this year. Part of it was effective in November and part will be effective next June.

This is true. Low paying jobs have a near unlimited supply of fresh bodies so they have no real reason to provide perks like holiday bonuses. When I was younger I often inquired about such things and was always told I should be lucky to even have a job there.
