I have a case against my former employer. The company has a no rehire policy. But have rehired three previous employee's. I applied for rehire but was denied. They let me go thru the process of filling out application as I was told by company president. But then never got back in contact with me nor would answer any calls. All three that were rehired was white males. I had been with the company for 10 yrs. Longer then two of the other rehires. I left the company in good standard. Now their in mediation process. Just wondering how long is the process.

Six months to two years. By itself, your post does not have enough facts to make a casual reader lean one way or the other.

If you have requested mediation and the employer has agreed to mediation, it should not take too long to get the mediation scheduled. I would be surprised if it took more than 90 days or so, but it can be quite a bit different from one EEOC region to another. As for the mediation itself, the session rarely lasts an entire day. Usually it takes half a day or a little longer if the parties are working hard toward a settlement. Sometimes, however, one side is not very interested in negotiating. IN which case, the mediations don't take much more than 1-2 hours.

Often times the employer will use mediation to get a heads up on your position. They have no intention of resolving this, they are going through the motions. They can learn all sorts of valuable information in mediation, much to their benefit. It's possible you may get resolution, but don'y go in expecting it.

I filed over a month ago in atl, my lawyer said they haven't sent out the request to my former employer yet.
