I've been working in warehousing/stock positions for over 12 years now and the current company i wrk for is easily the best job I've ever had. Much higher rate of hourly pay than I've ever encountered for the job I am doing, full benefits, no hassle from upper management. I really had to pinch myself because I've never met a president of a company who cares about his employees being happy more than my current one. I've only been there 2 years but the pros just outweigh the cons by a landslide.
Now, the reason I ask about the limo sector is because a very close friend of mines is a limo driver for a private company who mainly deals with airport trips of high end clientele. we recently had a drink and asked me if I were willing to come in and work for the company he is working for on a full time basis.
Some of my previous jobs I have dealt with customer service and I know that would come in handy if I were to work as a driver as I have always been patient with people and usually always go praised for being outgoing. I've always been a careful driver(never been in an accident at all and I've been driving for almost 16 years). Those two reason are really why he said I would be good as a driver.
But my problem is that maybe I'm just indecisive about the idea. My father was a cab driver for a few years, but I wouldn't know if cab drivers and limo drivers would be considered the same when it comes to the people each deals with.
Anyways, as I asked in the topic title, is anyone here a limo driver or was one? Any insight on what the job details would be really appreciated.
On a side note, Google really didn't bring up anything worth looking into when it comes to the profession of a limo driver besides pay.
I am not a limo driver or in the business, but I would stay where you are (much too sweet a situation to leave), and offer to find him someone else. There are plenty of good people who want work.
Stay put....better the evil you know, then the one you don't. Sounds like you got it pretty good.
