I wobble between ENFJ and INFJ and completely understand your dilemma. I am a social worker. I am in my mid 30s. I don't have kids but made that a choice. With a degree in religious students and a foreign language have you thought about working with the church? So many have social services and need people with actual backgrounds instead of just "feeling the mission," if you feel me. Are you bilingual? Or could you get back into whatever language you studied? I had a BA is Psychology and Spanish and then moved on to get my MSW. I also worked in several religiously affiliated non-profits. And maybe not even the church, but just social services as someone else mentioned. The -NFJ really lends towards service and guidance. Think about where you heart is and let that guide you, that's where the INFJ will be happy. It's where I'm happy.
There is nothing wrong with wanting a job that you enjoy that suits your personality. Sure, sometimes you have to compromise, but we spend a lot of time at work, and looking for the right career or profession is a very good idea.
Hope you find it.
