I have a BS in Sociology and I'd like to go into medical field. I am interested in medical billing and was wondering if anyone could tell me about that job and average pay in California? How is the demand? How did you get started? My community college counselor told many people go through the two semester medical assisting program and then later go back for the night medical billing class.
Thank you. I am wondering would working at a hospital lead to other possibilities other than medical billing, but maybe at a small office it would be a good in to get into medical billing.
