School Vs. Dreams...... (employment, degree, interest, income)

I have read quite a few posts about those beyond their twenties going back to college which lead me to think about my own situation.

I have many interest but my real passion lies in owning my own business, but as I get older I feel the need to have some type of formal training and a degree in a specific field. I mainly want to do this as a way to have something to fall back if anything should happen to my self employment venture or if something tragic and unexpected happened and I needed reliable income.

So the question is this.... if you were me would you just pick any program that I have an interest in or focus on my business and not worry about school?
