Notice for quitting temp job after 2 days for full time permanent job offer? (employee, jobs)

I decided to take 6 months off of work due to personal family issues and since then the job hunt took much longer than anticipated. After 10 months out of work I decided to take a temp position while waiting for a full time offer. I started the temp job last week and today I got a full time job offer from another company. I definitely want to accept the position. Would I need to give a two week notice to the temp job?? Right now I'm only reading procedure manuals and shadowing the lead tech. I feel a little bad because I know they were expecting me to stay longer and they took a lot of time to get me on boarded.
No, there is no need to provide notice in this case. Although many workers would simply stop showing up, it would be best if you called your assignment and told them you were done.
In my opinion temp jobs are not entitled to 2 weeks notice. They are not professional positions and no commitment works both ways. It is like giving an expensive ring to someone you are just sleeping with for fun. Certainly don't do anything that could jeopardize your permanent real job.
I disagree with that. I do temp work on my own , full time. When companies bring me on board it’s because they are short coverage; someone had a baby, sick leave someone quit, etc. I would really be leaving them in the lurch if I didn’t fulfill my obligation to them to the best of my ability.
In this case, OP states they invested a lot of time getting her on board and trained.i just think it’s crummy and unprofessional not to give them some notice to get a replacement if she has the ability to.

Well the temp job was for coverage for an employee that was out on FMLA. I got the job about 2 months into the employees FMLA time. When I started my first day, they told me the employee had already returned to work from FMLA, she came back early. So technically I'm here not covering for anyone.

As an employer, I say take the job. That's the opportunity you wanted, and the other job was a "temp" anyways. They'll get over it quickly, and they aren't the ones who had to make the sacrifices for your family like you did. Put yourself first in this case, you deserve it.
