We have a beautiful pool and hottub and wondered if we could
rent it out for parties. Advertising would be a cinch because of the community we live in and word of mouth
I am not sure how much insurance would be for that type of thing and if
we could make enough to be worthwhile.
Any thoughts??

Due to possible cost of Insurance and the liability involved in it......NOPE wouldn't do it!! But, this is your decision in the end, just be VERY, VERY CAREFUL if you do decide to do it!!

Your idea was interesting. How much would you charge?

Can you run a 'business' like this out of your home? Will the neighbors mind the add'l traffic/noise? where will guests use the restroom- do you want them in your home??? Where will they park?
What about insurance?
Sounds good in theory, but is it realistic?

Not only insurance but check zoning laws on running such a business. probably have to have a licensed lifeguard too.

And probably a liquor license, and FDA approved food service (like at wedding reception halls, people aren't allowed to bring their own food or cake).
