Whether you are working, out of work, in a federal work program, unemployable, or whatever...we can all benefit from the thousands of working Americans before us who have risked or sacrificed their lives to give us what we have today.

Good article and I thank you for posting it.

Living in Pennsylvania I am very much aware of the disgusting and abysmal pay and conditions that coal miners in our state were subjected to ... and I could go on and on about the exploitation of child labor ("breaker boys" as young as 8 working in the collieries) ... the long hours at a most dangerous job down in the mines ... the company owned your crummy little wooden three room shack - I mean "house" ... you were forced to buy basic necessities like food and clothes from the overpriced company store ...

Etc., etc., ad nauseam ...

Looks like we might be headed back to those times again as we see the greedy international corporations display their contempt for their employees.

Default A reflection on this day..

And a hope to get Americans back to work. And not just to scrape by, but to be able to live comfortably, save for their and their children's futures. And really build a future conductive to their strong efforts. And for those corporations mentioned above to realize the future is hinged on their people ultimately.

Get this machine running and rolling forward again! Now. Today. Strong and proud, made of guts and steel!

Nuff said.
