....to get bartender certified in nh? i hear many people say 18 and others say 21. so is it 21 or 18? im 20 right now and thinking about takin the class to get bartender certified. any help would be appreciated. thanx

18 to serve in a licensed establishment.

That's right in NH. Some states it's 19 or 21, but 18's good in this case. Have fun!

The nationally known Atlanta Bar School has a list of each state and the age you need to be to serve. Many states are 18 but some are 19 and 21. Also note that, just because a state requires 18, a city or county may override that with a local ordinance and make it higher.

It depends on your state. If I remembe correctly in my state of PA, you can be 18 to serve and 21 to drink. But I was just in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago and there you can be 18 to drink.

The rules are state dependent.

You can go online and look up your State's code or you can call up any bar or hotel bar in your area, speak to their H.R. person and ask them what age do you have to be to serve alchohol in their establishment. I am sure they will tell you quickly after a phone call or two.

Then sign up for your closest bartending school
