I need some marketing ideas (tips, work, company, office)

I need to come up with some events to do at Dr offices...any ideas?

-bringing in someone to do 10 min massages
-ice cream social
-Chocolate tasting

What else can I do to say to an office that " we appreciate you" and "we would love your referrals" lol?

If you are coming in during the morning you could bring Starbucks coffee or fraps.

I used to work with a sales rep who picked up parfaits from a local restaurant, she made sure to get a flavor that "matched" the color of the product she was selling.

Cupcakes would probably be what I would do in my area, as we have a local bakery that is fabulous and just seeing the box has people drooling. (My boyfriends mother actually works for an orthodontist, and they send cakes from this bakery to all of the dentists in the area during the holidays). On a different note, my boyfriends mother has mentioned that they get tons of cookies, cakes, etc. and would rather have fruit or something healthy.

One thing I would do regardless of what you're dropping off, is print up stickers that have the logo, name, phone number, etc. of your company, it doesn't help if you drop off a box of bagels and people don't realize where they come from. I'm assuming you're in an industry where you can do this though, if you're a pharma rep ignore that advice, as the regulatory department would be horrified.

Just realized you said events and everything I listed was more of a "drive by and drop off".

One thing that we've done is create interactive games that our reps use, where the staff has to participate and answer, and everyone gets a prize.

You might want to avoid the 'bad food' ones...if it's a doctor's office.

I don't have time to play games while I am at work. The best way to show appreciation for referrals is to see my patients in a timely manner, give exceptional care to my patients, and keep me in the treatment loop. A continental breakfast and coffee is nice and sufficient and thank for your thoughtfulness.

Have a contest. Guess the number of M&Ms in the jar and then give a practical prize to the winner, like a Target or Wal-Mart giftcard for $25.

There could be guessing games, the first person to guess the combined weight of two of the office personnel, (that way it doesn't embarass one) Or the number of pounds between the two, say one weighs 185, and the other weighs 146, someone needs to guess 39lbs as the answer. The people chosen at random that morning go and weigh, and then the office manager chooses which formula to use. Difference, addition. You can do it with ages, or year of birth too. but that can only be done once. You can also use a patient in your weight game, say the first patient of the morning and the last from the previous day, whatever you want. Maybe the temperature at a certain time. but as earlier, patients want to be seen quickly. so passing the time with games is sometimes irritating because people feel its wasted.
