I know it can vary, but in your experience, in what timeframe have you found companies to reach out after you have applied to a job to setup for an interview, and how long before you assume they aren't interested as they haven't requested an interview?
They've reached out anywhere from the same day I submit the application, to up to maybe a month later. I've heard responses back from a day or two later, to several months later, to (the most fun of all) never.
There's no way to nail down any average timeframe for either. And I wouldn't get caught up trying to make a science out of it. Don't look to the sides or around or up and down. Just forge ahead and keep going.

I am not "trying to make a science out of it," as you put it, it is just an open discussion curious of other peoples experiences. That is what this forum is for after all.

I agree, each and every application has been a different response/process. Not sure what sort of experiences the OP needs to hear to realize that.

First off, I am right here and you could just ask me directly. Secondly, if you actually read it was about PEOPLES EXPERIENCES. What was the point of you commenting at all? Are you that bored on a Friday night? Move along...

Usually, its within a few days and up to a week. However, I've also had companies contact me nearly a month (and sometimes longer) after applying. In those cases, I've always assumed that the initial hire either bailed or just didn't work out for whatever reason.

Thanks for actually answering this question with a general rule of what you have experienced than making a big deal of nothing like the others on this post.
I would honestly think the same. A month seems so far after the fact that I doubt they would sit on a position for that long!
I would have accepted the job and said that I can start in 3 months.
