Are auto mechanics with an ASE certification in high demand? Also, what is the pay like for an entry level auto mechanic.
I have read and talked to a few people and most tell me that auto mechanics do not really make a lot of money. The general salary range is 28-36K a yr. Although those salaries are not bad for a beginner, how much does the pay really increase when you are a mechanic for a few yrs?
Also, in order to make some decent money and be successful does an auto mechanic essentially have to start their own shop?
