Took A Part Time Job- Need Advice (apply, interview, company)

Hello everybody. Since I've been out of work for 3 months I finally got an interview today, for a part time position, which will only be a little over 20 hours a week. They offered me the job and I took it because I need any type of money I can get. The benefits are very good once full time with company paid insurance and 3 weeks vacation right off the bat. Now my problem is that this is barely going to pay my bills while I' am part time. The outlook on becoming full time is good, but they are not sure how long that could take. Another issue is the rotating shifts they run. One week morning, next week 2nd shift, the next week over night. Now I have never had any desire to work over night, anywhere, I'm just use to sleeping during the night. I'd prefer strictly daylight hours.

Now my question is, should I keep looking for a full time job that pays more or hang on to this and see what happens? There was a full time job in Sundays paper I would have probably applied for if it weren't for them hiring me today. Should I still apply? Its all day sift with weekends off too.

My friend helped me get in this place but don't like being part time. Thoughts?

Since you are going to be working part time, you have hours available to interview during the conventional work week. If it were me, I'd continue on with the job search and take the part time job, too.

I'm doing the same thing, just accepted a part time position, involves overnight shifts. Since you need the money, keep the position and continue on looking for full time.
