DETROIT, April 5 (UPI) -- General Motors Co. said Monday it would add 100 jobs to a transmission plant in Warren, Mich., to make up for torrid sales of several models.

The automaker said in a statement sales of the Equinox rose 130 percent in the first quarter compared with January-March of 2009.
