In many states you can't pursue legal action against your employer if you file a w/c claim either at a medical facility or directly with your employer.

In my opinion if you don't know who attacked you, there's really no legal action to be taken.

I know who attacked me. He was a client. When I said I was out of it, that's after the altercation.

Sorry for the confusion. I am not trying to take legal action against my employers.

You can't get blood from a stone, so you can't sue your attacker. Just let the police deal with it, be willing to do as the police ask to have the person prosecuted.
