however i like driving on the right better so i am going to ask that you drive on the left countries to switch your laws because, well just because i want you to.
and if you don't i will spend my time calling them a bunch of backwards countries who are stuck in the past and resistant to change.
Many former British colonies outside of Europe continue to drive left: India, Pakistan, Hong Kong (even though it’s been returned to right-side driving China in 1997), Australia, New Zealand and the former British colonies in the West Indies.
Macau and Mozambique also drive on the left. Colonies of Portugal, they opted for the "British" side of the road due to proximity to British colonies. This may also be why Suriname, a former Dutch colony in South America, drives on the left: its neighbor is the ex-British, left-driving country of Guyana. Those two countries are the last on continental America to drive left.
Many other ex-British colonies did change to driving on the right, as with Gibraltar mostly to conform to the practice on the other side of the border.

The truth is that P London and Europeanflava are right. Looks like the majority do it backwards...
Sweden changed from left to right in 1967, Iceland in 1968, England considered it in the 60's, but then dropped that idea, Nigeria in 1972.
But the change happened the other way too: East Timor changed right to left in 1975, Okinawa on 30 July 1978 and Samoa on 7 September 2009
A newspaper story on April Fool’s Day suggested that, to further European integration, the UK was to convert to driving on the right. However, owing to the huge amount of work this conversion would cause, it would be phased in: for the first six months the regulation would only apply to buses and taxis.
Mozambique drives on the left because it's surrounded by left-side-driving countries. It's the same reason Sweden switched to right-side driving in 1967.
There are plenty of former British colonies that drive on the right, particularly in Africa.
One of the odder oddities is the fact that the US Virgin Islands drive on the left - even though most of its cars are left-hand drive.
Both are not detrimental so either is good. And invisible put a sock in it!!!
stop calling me invisible.
i was joking btw.
