What kind of non 3rd world country has corporal punishment by caning!? Especially for "rioting, vandalism, and certain immigration violations"...

Have you been to Poland? Probably not. I've been there once and it looked like any other part of Europe to me.
Parts of Ukraine look like Germany, so I am to assume Ukraine has a standard of living similar to Germany.

Oh wait, that doesn't make sense.

Do countries like Japan, South Korea, and Singapore have universal health care? If not, definitely one of those because the general stress levels are too high in those countries as it is.

That's completely stupid. I might agree that Poland still has a bit to go but Ireland?! You must be kidding.

Default Neither

It's easier to name the countries that are best for the average person. However, the differences in quality of life for first countries is not much different. For example the Japanese have high wages, but they work the most, Poland has low wages, but I bet they enjoy life compared to most countries. If anywhere is the best it's where the countries are most equal Sweden would be an example. But worst, in terms of quality of life for the average person in a first world country? There isn't. It's easier to measure which countries have the strongest wages, the best gadgets, etc but that doesn't really really add to the quality of life.

But since there is a poll. I voted for the US of A. Simply because a country so rich should not have that many poor as well as such a high income inequality. As the strongest economy it should be a leader in ending poverty and inequality inside its own borders.

Not sure but I don't think so...dunno if Singapore even has a a disability/old age pension, or a meagre one at that.

Btw I missed Australia because I didn't think there was a good reason why it could be considered among the worst for quality of life in the first world.

I don't think there's a good reason why Sweden or Denmark should be considered among the worst either. If anything they are the best in the world.
