The world hates us because of our television shows. Doughton Abbey for instance idolizes the rich and well to do and their hoighty-toity ways.
Huh? Are you talking about the world hating the UK because of that tv show. Don't believe that for a minute. The UK produces excellent quality tv programming, imo a lot better than some of the crap US studios put out.
Nothing will match Top Gear(UK version), my favorite show.
I stay away for the most part from US television shows, except news. I prefer cable channels like Discovery, Smithsonian Channel, NatGeo, etc.
