I need a place to live for the next year or two. I have nailed it down to either Russia (either Sankt Petersburg or Moscow) or Colombia (Medellin). Both seem equally cheap (at least Sankt Petersburg).

Which place would you rather live in and why?

As I see it, here are the pro's and con's of each (although I have never been to either):

Russia:

+ Safe (can go for long walks anywhere I want with no fear of getting robbed)
- Bad climate (very cold and long winters)

Colombia:

+ Many dangerous parts, will stick out as a foreigner (increase cortisol?)
- Good stable climate

Other than that, what are the differences? Can I get organic foods and grass fed meat in each place?

Spanish is much easier and understandable language for an English speaker. Russian is totally different still with Cyrillic alphabet

Friendlier people and hotter women imo.

Good inputs. So lets ask this: Do you think I can walk around with a Patek Philippe or Rolex watch, Gucci hats, Louis Vuitton shoes etc in Medellin (Poblado) or would that be risky?

Apparently 30% of Russians under 40 speak (at least a little bit) English however.

Russia is a big country so it has many different climates, try the subtropical climates on the Black Sea coast/Krasnodar Krai such as Sochi, Novorossiysk, and Krasnodar, they are definitely not as tropical as Columbia, however Medellin is a very cloudy and rainy place.

Cheap to live because of the ruble, attractive women, pretty good weather, safe for White people, no LGBT rights activists or feminism etc.

I am pretty decided on Moscow. It looks like a great place to live.

Women can be attractive but many have bad attitudes (cold, arrogant, bossy).
Only Southern Russia has pretty good weather.
Russia has its fair share of feminism.
I prefer LGBT rights activists to people that try to meet up homosexuals from the internet to beat them up or even worse (something that happens daily in Russia).
