Nice, I've been higher than Mt Blanc. Aiguille du Midi, 3,842 m (12,806') for me (near Chamonix, France). By road, with my old beater of a car: Stelvio pass, Italy, 2757 m (9046').

Wikipedia isn't a good source when you're doing a paper in the university, but in reality.. wikipedia is almost never wrong.

Lol, you can check any source you want about the height of Ben Nevis...you don't seriously believe it's 9,000 metres do you? I hope not. Maybe a Scotsman in a pub was trying to pull your leg lol.

Pikes Peak, Colorado 14,115 feet, or 4302 meters. Kinda surprised nobody mentioned this one, very accessible for such a high mountain, by railroad car, hiking trail, or 19 mile paved toll road up to the top (used to be gravel when we drove it). It was the first time I've been to the top a real mountain, we drove up there while visiting relatives in Colorado Springs. It was snowing on top in the middle of August. Got out of the car and started running to the visitor center, and got light headed real quick. Had to curb my ambition a bit, and I was 15 years old at the time, just came off a summer of detasseling corn back home in Iowa, so I was not exactly out of shape at the time. Very impressive mountain and the road was full of peril, I'll never forget it. I Would love to do it again on a motorcycle someday.

The highest elevation i've been to is 3,200 metres at the village of Las Cuevas, in Argentina, very close to the border with Chile, in the middle of the Andes Range. A summer snowfall prevented me to go higher that time. The highest peak i've seen is Mount Aconcagua, which is 6,960 metres and found near Las Cuevas.
