View of the city I live in from a newly converted rail to trail pedestrian bridge

Where I work 40 to 48 hours per week mapping CATV infrastructure.

Outside of my 1 bedroom apt

When I have free time and the weather is nice I like to get out and do short hikes (~1 hour). This is a trail 20 miles to my south in the hills

Got to take a nice week long vacation on the Gulf Coast. Growing up I never got to travel much.

Whew! I just spent the last two days decorating for Christmas! My husband works out of town a lot for weeks at a time, so when he gets home, he wants the whole Christmas experience - food, candles, lights, music, eggnog, fire in the fireplace, you name it. This is our first year in our new house so I had some decorating challenges!

During lunch break last friday.

You may beleive that everybody is well dressed in black in Paris but don't forget that those pics are taken in business area.
Most people are office workers in those pics.

In the 8th arrondissement where I work, there are very few affordable shops for middle class people like me, except on the Champs Elysées and around Saint-Lazare railway terminal.
Fortunately there are plenty of fast and quite affordable restaurants and fast foods for the workers.

Except for the Champs Elysées which is busy almost 24/7, most of the area is pretty dead after business hours.

In central Paris, there are almost no architectural difference between office and residential buildings.
Infact many office building are located in former residential buildings.

Avenue de Choisy
This is one of the main street of Paris main chinatown. It is made of high-rises, shopping malls.
Not what you would expect for a chinatown and especially in Paris.

Avenue de la Republique in Montrouge in morning rush hours.
This is the main street of my suburb, people are walking toward the metro station.
This street has a pretty quiet car traffic all day, except during the morning rush where it is often very jammed.

I keep meaning to get a picture of the Christmas lights here (although they're nothing compared to those) but keep forgetting

Nice picture of sheep's bums there.

Here are a few photos from downtown Fredericksburg, Texas, as well as Luckenbach. These are from last year.
