This is not related to fashion per say, but things that people used to think were cool but now it is just silly. In Brazil at one point capoeira was the thing to do...just like Jiu-jítsu... now is cross fit

Can I open my eyes now? Are skinny jeans out of fashion?

Good one. These are mostly viewed as stereotypical slang nowadays.

Doumbeks and Djembes.

It used to be every third hippie walked around with one, ready for an impromptu drum circle.

Now they have been replaced by homeless gutter punks who tell you to "F- off, capitalist pig!" if you don't give them a dollar to buy some molly.

Television is going completely out of fashion with anyone under 40...

What's gaining in popularity:
getting around the city by bicycle. More and more bicycles on the road every year. There are cycling lanes being added to streets.
