Research questions / NYC novel (quote)

my name is Marc, I live in Germany and am currently working on a novel, whose plot is set in NYC and Vermont. Concerning the research for the project, I have some questions to someone who grew up in the US in the 1980s and who ideally still lives there today. I would have some questions (and perhaps some new ones when answered the first ones) about life on the East Coast. Who can help me?
