I'm thinking of coming up to Cheyenne for a month to see if my breathing will improve because down there in Phoenix it is BAD air quality. I went to Wichita for 6 months and I breath better so I figure after a month and my breathing isn't worth I would like to stay for 6 months to really see. So how is the weather and snow. When would be a good time to come up so that I don't get stuck in the snow?

It's been spotty weather during the last week ... a few clear days, but I went in to town yesterday for a luncheon appointment ... and I-80 from exit 377 to Cheyenne was in blizzard conditions, worsening the further West I got. Then, in town, there were a fair number of fender-bender accidents as folks were sliding into intersections as well as parked cars along east Lincolnway. My wife came in to town around 1PM, and it was still blizzarding on most of the drive. My return trip at 3 PM was still in slick road conditions, but my wife came home just after sunset and the roads were clear and dry.

That's typical of how fast the roads can be messed up and then cleared up this time of the year ....

OP, if you want to be avoiding snowstorms coming through, you'll plan your trip for the May through early October months.
