This may sound like a stupid question, but do any of you living in Wyoming notice any certain types of travel trailers/rv's that you commonly see that get blown over by the wind while many travelers make their way thru your state? Or does the wind not particularly pick on any certain kind?

Haven't noticed any one type or brand. I hear many travelers taking the wind into consideration with their plans, and changing plans, when prudent to do so.

The wind doesn't particularly discriminate against any brand or style. I've seen all shapes & types blown over or off the roads.

Wyoming will post "high profile vehicles travel not advised" warnings when the gusts and wind velocities get strong. Best to check the 'net or WYDOT for the weather and road reports before travels if there's any doubt re conditions.

Coming down I-25 from Buffalo to Glendo to Chugwater this AM was one of those days ... 35 mph, gusting to 50 mph at times.

As a general rule, I give a wide berth to semi-trailers in these cross-wind situations. Not uncommon for a trailer to shift suddenly into your lane area a few feet ... or more. I think many semi drivers are unaware as to just how far they've got their trailer in your lane as they travel in the center of their lane with their tractor rather than crowding the upwind side of their lane. And that's the ones that are paying attention. Have seen more than a few semi drivers heading down the road that look like a drunken sailor has taken over the driving chores for awhile, using a lot of the two lanes to keep heading down the road.
